Head on over to the forest for some item and En farming... You hear a faint "bring me stuff!" in the distance.

Search roll: 1 Having taken a little longer than the others to get ready, having been busy applying the soothing balm Merit had given him, Helios leaves the guild hall separately and heads to the North-Eastern entrance to the forest. Walking down the now-familiar entrance path, he heads for the first room and the gathering spot therein.

As you reach down to look through the harvest search point, the Vitas combines and forms into a single Shea Fruit. A few noises nearby alert you to the presence of pokemon nearby but you can't quite tell where they are hiding. Perception: 10 to tell roughly where they are. Perception: 14+ to pinpoint.

Your astute senses alert you to the presence of a pokemon in the water nearby. A staryu floats just beneath the water's surface facing you, but otherwise motionless. When it notices that you spotted it, it rapidly rotates to try and get a jump on you. Initiative list: Staryu: 20 (Please include any battlers with their initiative in your post.)

The tackle impacts the little Sunkern solidly, sending it skidding back a few meters. Helios scoffs. "Just a single staryu? Please, I could beat this in my sleep! Get in close and drain it for all you've got, Solaire!
Solar Lance!"As Helios sends beams of light spearing down to saturate the area around the Staryu, Solaire somewhat nervously jumps through the bombardment and attempts to leech the life out of his star-shaped adversary at point-blank range. Helios uses Swift: 33 Normal Special Damage.
Solaire uses Mega Drain, rolling 5 vs AC 2+evasion, for 32 Grass Special damage.

The staryu reels back from the swift attack taking 22 damage and 2 injuries. It shakes itself off before deciding that the best course of action is to run away and it begins to make for the water where it fires off a water gun at Helios. Staryu fires a water gun at helios for 29 special water damage with a roll of 7 vs AC 2+evade.

Helios splutters indignantly upon taking a water gun to the face. Backing up a bit, he attempts to get out of range for if it fired again, if such is possible in this space. "Come on, Solaire, don't let me down again. Get that Staryu! Mega drain again!
And, uh, if you miss again, at least try not to get hit in return."Solaire Mega Drains for 29 Special Grass damage, rolling 12 vs AC 2+evasion.
Helios runs away and uses Inspired Training on Solaire.

The staryu, still reeling from the effects of the last hit on it, is unable to dodge the mega drain and is KOd by the move.
With Staryu KOd, it slowly disappears into thin air leaving a strange mist of vitas behind. As you approach it, only En appears. You find 64 en. You gain 8*3*0.5= 12 pokemon exp to distribute as you please.

"Well, I guess that's that. Return, Solaire."
Returning the Sunkern to its ball, Helios collects the En left behind by the Staryu, and drinks his potion to top off his own health.
"Hmm, according to the map, there's only one search point left that I can gather right now, though I guess it wouldn't hurt to check each room to see if anything has changed..."
Helios continues down the corridor to the split, and checks if the room with the other gathering point still has a terrible stench.

As you check the southern room at the 3 way split, the stench from before lingers. Its vile smell makes it nearly impossible to enter and search the room.

"Ugh, what's in there? Best leave this place for later."
So saying, Helios decides to continue on to the room with the river, to see if anything has changed since he was last in this dungeon.

The north western room remains unchanged, however upon entering you spot a rattata resting near the river. It fails to notice your presence and continues to lazily sleep.

Spotting the sleeping creature, Helios chuckles softly to himself. Heh, this one'll be easy.Letting out his new Murkrow, Astraeus, he whispers instructions to it. "Okay, here's the plan. You fly over to that little rat as quietly as you can, and we'll alpha strike it to oblivion."Astreus' stealth to fly over undetected: 15
Helios' stealth in case he needs it: 11
If all goes well, Helios is hoping to get a free round of attacks on this poor rattata.

The rattata remains asleep since you are able to successfully sneak up on it. It sneezes as you take your closest step, but remains asleep.

"Now, Peck it! Peck it!" Helios yells, sending a Swift downrange at the same time! Astraeus is startled by his master's sudden shouting, squawking in surprise and completely failing to peck anything. Peck gets a critical miss, whoops!
Swift deals 33 Special Normal damage.

The rattata reels back in surprise from the rather rude awakening. The one of the stars from swift cuts up its front paw causing it to bleed slightly whereas another hits it dead center causing it to lose its breath from the hit. It's clearly in no condition to fight, but with two injuries, it has become quite full of adrenaline and fear. So it attempts to flee using the sprint maneuver to try to put some distance between you and it. With OL 9, it will be able to go quite far. If you can't bridge the gap, you might lose track of it!

As the Rattata flees, Astraeus takes the opportunity to snap at it with his beak as its back was turned. Helios sees his prey fleeing and decides he cannot allow that. "Now Astraeus, Pursuit! Catch that rat!"The Murkrow flies after the Rattata at high speed, landing in front of it to cut it off (11 Fly speed should allow this), attacking with Pursuit as he does so. Helios runs to keep up, but with total overland of 6, and having been at nearly max range for his previous attack, he's still pretty far away. AOO roll: 18 vs AC 4, 29 physical normal damage.
Pursuit used as an interrupt to catch up. 9 vs AC 2, 37 physical dark damage.
